MEET OUR RECRUITMENT TEAM

Hey everyone:)))

My name is Anna Kate Church, and I have the amazing honor and privilege of serving as this year's Vice President of Recruitment for Alpha Gamma Delta. I am a small-town girl who loves everything Troy, red, buff, and green hehe:))) From the second I walked through the doors of Alpha Gam, I knew this was the place God had in store for me. Every single person I talked to during recruitment allowed me to be unapologetically myself and made me feel so loved and welcomed. Over the past two years, this chapter has poured into me and given me so much more than I could’ve ever imagined. And I’m so grateful for the opportunity to pour back into the chapter that has made the biggest impact in my life!! 

To every potential new member, the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to simply BE YOURSELF! Recruitment is a time when you don’t have to put on a face and be someone you are not, just come as you are and be YOU! Follow YOUR heart and be selfish! Choose the place that is best for YOU! All you need is a little confidence and a smile and you will be perfectly fine:)) 

Alpha Gam is a place that welcomes and loves everyone. We are a group of genuine, intentional, loving, driven, silly, and diverse women who love doing life together!! We are women who strive to live with purpose and lead on campus. This sisterhood is contagious and never fails to encourage me. The girls in our chapter are the ones I look up to, seek advice from, go on trips with, and serve the lord with. We do things together, we make memories together, we make a difference on campus together, and we care about fighting hunger in our local Troy community together!! 

Overall, I hope you find your home and you LOVE IT!! I pray you find a place where you are not just comfortable, but are pushed out of your comfort zone. A sisterhood that doesn't just praise you in your highs, but supports you in your lows. A sisterhood that aligns perfectly with your values, passion, and desires. A sisterhood that pours into the local community and has a bond between their sisters that cannot be broken. Alpha Gam has continued to do all of these things for me, and it could do the same for you too!! 

We have been praying and preparing for each person that walks through the doors of our house! We hope you have the best senior year, summer, and recruitment!! We can not WAIT to cherish friendships and meet all of your beautiful faces!!

Dear Potential New Members,

Hello!! I’m Ally and I get to serve as the Vice President of New Member Experience (or as we like to call it, Momma Squirrel) this year for AGD! I will be your listening ear, your shoulder to lean on, your biggest advocate, and loudest cheerleader! Your first semester of college can bring the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, and I’ll be there every step of the way! 

Since freshman year, I have felt the Lord calling me to serve in this role, and I am beyond blessed my sisters saw me fit to be a mentor for PC ‘24! I know going through recruitment can be a very difficult time for some, and others, you might step into a house the first day and immediately feel at home, but no matter what the case may be, trust the the Lord has a plan for your time here at Troy! Alpha Gam surely welcomed me with open arms, and I hope you get that same warm feeling when you walk through our door! 

We can’t wait to welcome PC ‘24 home this August! Alpha Gam has made my college experience truly unforgettable, unique, exciting, and provided me with memories that I know will last a lifetime. You know what they say, “home is where the heart is” and I know my heart has 100% found its home. I hope yours does too!
